Dick Sannes passed away on May 6, 2008 He leaves behind a wonderful family including his wife Donna and 2 children Cathy and Doug , also five brothers and six sisters and tw grandchildren. And an army of friends and well wishers here at Cottage Grove Weyerhaeuser. Dick was one of those rare individuals who always had a smile for everyone and was always ready to jump in and help in any situation "are we having fun yet?"

Richard Sannes
CRESWELL — A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, at
Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove for Richard K. “Dick” Sannes of
Creswell, who died May 6 of causes related to cancer. He was 57. Visitation will
be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today, May 9, and Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 4, 1950, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Lyle and Mildred Sikstrom Sannes.
He married Donna Britt on June 14, 1970, in Lowell.
Sannes graduated from Cottage Grove High School. He worked as a millwright for
Weyerhaeuser in Cottage Grove for 34 years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cathy Swaim of Creswell; a son, Doug of
Pleasant Hill, Calif.; five brothers, Phil, Ken and Charlie, all of Cottage
Grove, David of Toronto and Fred of La Pine; six sisters, Kay Ream, Kar

Private burial will be in Creswell Pioneer Cemetery.
